More Elisha Birthday

Elisha's wanted a dinosaur birthday so we had a special visit from "Dino Man". I will not reveal his secrect identity as it could get me into trouble.
Elisha had more fun uwrapping the presents. He did enjoy all the gifts received though.
Here he is reading Blue's Clues. He even sang the song for us it was so cute.
This pop-up book was a hit too. We had a lot of fun and ended the evening watching "The Land Before Time".

Elisha's 2nd Birthday

For Elisha's birthday we went on a dinosaur egg hunt. We hid hints in a small balloon(egg) and the boys had to go from room to room, pop the balloon and get the next hint. They were sure I put one in the freezer.

Another place they looked was in the bathroom. They all wanted to find it first, but when it came to popping the balloon they graciously handed the balloon to someone else. The pop was too loud apparently.
Here is Elisha at the end of the game, or at least what he thought was the end of the game. He is giving me a thumbs up. He hasn't quite figured which one the thumb is.

Meet SnowBoy, the newest member to our clan. He's fun to be around, mild tempered, a great listener, always does what he's told, and is an incredibly clean person. However, we wouldn't recommend his babysitting services and probably wouldn't invite him in for some warm soup.








...And if it weren't for our boys...he would have never arrived.

The Boys in Slumber

I watched a little face sleeping,
Eyelashes fluttering so,
I wondered of the dream you were having,
and if Angles were playing there.

I watched a little face sleeping,
Your little mouth was smiling so,
I hope that you are as happy as me,
holding you in my arms.

making sure of the breath you take,
to watch you breathe and keep you safe,
is all that matters to me.

holding your small hand in mine,
five little fingers on each hand,
as one hangs onto mine.

I watched a little face sleeping,
and as I prayed to myself,
I thank God for letting me
watch a little face sleeping.

As I was having quiet time tonight when the boys had all gone to sleep, a thought came into my mind to take a picture of all of my boys sleeping. It had been a bad day and I needed this time to think about my boys and what a blessing they are in my life. So I took these pictures and a love swelled within my breast that some day soon these little precious children will be out of the house and I will be longing for them to be small again. I am so grateful to a God who gives me these moments and reminds me of how much I have. I know that I am blessed to be their mother.

Lincoln's Presents

We had pizza for dinner, Lincoln's favorite. Then we had a cake shaped in the form of a paw print. You can see it on Elisha's face.
Lincoln got some fun presents from grandmas and grandpas. He is ready to read and write his name. School is a fun play time for Lincoln.
He also got some flash cards to learn his letters. He is so excited.
One more picture of the pizza and cake and party hats. Lincoln is one year older and that much closer to going to real school.

Licoln's Birthday

Lincoln had his number 5 birthday yesterday. We had a Blue Clues theme. We made party hats and our own pinata with toys in it. Lincoln had such a great time.
We played pin the flag on mailbox. Mom and Camden did the best, we were the closest to the right spot.

Our newest fun time as a family is blues clues. Dad is the best at making up fun clues and we try to figure out what he wants us to know.

Pipe Cleaner SUPERHEROES

Dad decided that Lincoln and Camden needed a makeover. What was once a pipe cleaner became two kids under cover.
Look at those serious faces. It took a couple of times to wipe the smiles off their faces.

Christmas

These are just some of the presents that the boys received for Christmas. Thank you to everyone who gave them presents. The boys look so sharp in their new suits. They can't wait to go to church every week. They are so proud to look like daddy in a suit. Elisha got a suit too but it doesn't fit him yet so maybe next year you will see him in a suit.

Christmas presents

This was Christmas morning. Here you can see Grandpa DeVaughn in his famous Santa hat. It was bright and early, we couldn't wait to see what was in the presents.
On Christmas Eve we all had a surprise. We were visiting and heard a knock at the door. Who would have thought that Santa would take time out of his busy schedule to visit us. Each of the boys got to sit on his lap and have a picture taken. Lincoln was the most shy but when we said that Santa was leaving he decided he better sit on his lap.
Elisha wasn't sure what to think, but he didn't seem too worried, he was just busy playing and Santa interrupted.

And here is Camden if with his serious face. Santa was kind of funny looking.
