Halloween Night

Lincoln was a fireman in a fire truck this year. He had so much fun knocking on doors. He just wanted to keep going when everyone else was ready to stop.
Camden was a policeman in a police truck. He was excited about this costume until about five minutes into the night. It wasn't until we were almost done trick or treating that I realized I hadn't put the costume on right so he was cold and his shoulders were hurting. Poor boy!
Elisha was a dinosaur for halloween. It took some convincing to get him to wear this, but once I mentioned candy I didn't hear another complaint from him.
Our night consisted of Trunk or Treat with our church. This is what many places are adopting because going door to door is more and more dangerous. So all the cars park in the parking lot and decorate their trunks. Then the children go trunk to trunk to get their candy.

After this we went to Daddy's school to a class halloween party. Daddy wanted to show off this boys.

Then Lincoln wanted to do "real" trick or treating and so we went down two streets where we knew the people. What a great night!

Caramel apples

First caramel apples of the season! The boys weren't sure about the method they should use to start on their apples. Elisha decided to just lick the caramel off. Camden dug right in and tried to take a huge bite. Lincoln just posed for the picture. He wasn't sure about getting all sticky. Next time we will choose smaller apples.

Hi to everyone. I forgot to do a blog on what we are up to these days. So here is a brief note on what we are doing. We are here in Rexburg for at least the next two and a half years. Joshua is studying Music education/vocal here at BYU-I. We love the atmosphere of this college.

Joshua gets a great education as well as grows spiritually. His voice is maturing and becoming so beautiful. I hardly recognized his voice the other day when he performed in a talent show. I thought wow, that's my man!

Sarah just got put in a the second counselor in the Young Women's Presidency. I love it so much already. It does keep me busy though. I spend most of my day trying to keep the house clean, make meals, and teach my boys. Most of the time I keep my head on staight.

Lincoln is four years old and talking non-stop. He has so much to say and never enough time to say it in. We have new neighbors below us that we love so much. Lincoln spends most of his time outside playing with the Reed and Emmi. He is learning to write and learning to play the piano.

Camden is very funny. He is now 3 years old. He doesn't like to take orders from anyone. He makes many bad choices but is determined to not have to take the consequences of those choices. He is my best hugger and my best smiler. His voice is so husky, he cracks me up all the time when I listen to him speak.

Elisha cannot talk much but is very aware. He lets his needs be known. His favorite thing to do is tease mom or brothers.

And for a surprise, we are expecting our fourth child April 28, 2009. We are not going to find out whether it is a boy or girl until he or she is here.

Flight Museum

Josh, Lincoln, and Camden went to the Legacy Flight museum here in Rexburg. The boys had a lot of fun. Josh said it was not fun for him because the boys kept going where they weren't supposed to be. I am glad that the boys got to go with Dad because he is so busy with school these days so we don't see them much.

Going Camping

Sarah and the boys went camping with Grandma Pam and Grandpa DeVaughn. The first day, it rained from the time we got there until about noon the next day. After the rain passed we had so much fun, hiking, playing in the water, throwing sticks in the fire and eating hot dogs and marshmellows. We camped from Monday to Thursday. The boys didn't want to go home because they were having so much fun. The boys got close to grandma and grandpa and miss them so much. Elisha especially seemed to get attached to Grandpa. We had a treasure, scavenger hunt and Elisha and grandpa were the perfect pair. Camping is the life.
